Tragic Attack: Euthanization of Dogs Involved in Fatal Incident with 6-Year-Old Boy

Two unlicensed Great Dane-mastiff mix dogs involved in a dog attack that killed a 6-year-old boy and injured his caretaker in Portland have been euthanized, while a third dog found in the home is in custody of Multnomah County Animal Services. The injured woman was the owner of the dogs, and the boy they attacked was her friend's grandson. The incident is being investigated by the Portland Police Bureau's child abuse team and homicide unit.
