Tragedy Strikes Vermont Shelter: Social Worker Murdered

A woman has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder after the brutal killing of a Rhode Island woman at a homeless shelter in Brattleboro, Vermont. The victim, Leah Rosin-Pritchard, was a shelter coordinator and was attacked with an ax. The incident was captured on security video and witnessed by at least two other staff members. The suspect, Zaaina Asra Zakirrah Mahvish-Jammeh, was found wiping blood off her hands with a paper towel and had purchased a "Hunters Ax" from a hardware store over the weekend. Mahvish-Jammeh was arraigned in court and held without bail.
