Tragedy in Huntsville: Police officer killed, another critical after shooting.

Two Huntsville police officers were critically injured during a shooting incident on March 28. The officers responded to a shooting call and found a female who had been shot. An armed person fired upon two HPD officers at the scene. The officers were taken away from the scene to Huntsville Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The armed person barricaded himself inside an apartment at the scene. The suspect was taken into custody at about 6:20 p.m. and was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
