A 15-year-old migrant, Jesus Alejandro Rivas-Figueroa, has been charged with two counts of attempted murder and other crimes after shooting at a tourist and firing at police in Times Square. He was apprehended in Yonkers, New York, and is suspected in an armed robbery and shots-fired incident. Rivas-Figueroa, who entered the U.S. from Venezuela in September, was living in a temporary shelter and is considered a juvenile offender under New York law. The female tourist was grazed by a bullet and is expected to return to Brazil, while the officer was unharmed.
