Texas Mom Leaves Young Children Alone to Go on Cruise, Faces Charges

A 29-year-old mother, Lakesha Woods Williams, has been charged with abandoning her 6-year-old daughter and 8-year-old son at home while she went on a cruise, with court records indicating this may not be the first time. The children were found alone in a disarrayed apartment, attempting to fend for themselves, and are now in the custody of their aunt. Williams is being held on a $25,000 bond and is prohibited from contacting her children. She is due back in court on April 15.
