Texas Man's Vigilante Pursuit Ends in Fatal Gunfight with Alleged Truck Thief

A man in Texas tracked down his stolen truck and confronted the alleged car thief, resulting in a gunfight that left the suspect dead and the truck owner and a woman wounded. The truck owner found his stolen vehicle and ordered the man and woman out at gunpoint before the suspect pulled his own gun and shot the owner. The owner returned fire, killing the alleged car thief. While the police chief called it an act of self-defense, he urged the public not to take matters into their own hands.
