Teen uses slingshot to protect sister from kidnapper

A 13-year-old boy in Michigan used a slingshot to fend off a kidnapper who had grabbed his 8-year-old sister while she was mushroom hunting in their backyard. The boy hit the kidnapper twice with the slingshot, allowing his sister to escape and run back inside their home. The kidnapper fled into the woods but was later arrested and charged with attempted kidnapping and child enticement, attempted assault, and assault and battery.
