Suspect identified and arrested in South Memphis child abductions and rapes.

The Memphis Police Department has identified Laderio Gordon, 29, as the man responsible for kidnapping and raping children in South Memphis. Gordon was arrested on April 27 and charged with especially aggravated kidnapping, rape of a child, and employment of a firearm with intent to commit a felony. Two girls abused by Gordon positively identified him, and additional charges related to the kidnappings and sexual assaults are expected. Police are continuing to track down leads of other cases which he may be connected to and have asked the public to report any suspicious activity or contact Crime Stoppers.
