Suspect identified and arrested after 14-hour standoff with police in Billings Heights.

Mary White Crane, a 57-year-old woman, has been arrested and charged with attempted deliberate homicide, criminal endangerment, and criminal mischief after allegedly shooting a police officer during a 14-hour standoff in Billings Heights, Montana. The standoff began after reports of White Crane firing shots from her home, and at one point, firefighters helped tactical team members use a fire hose to spray water into the home, which apparently persuaded the suspect to surrender. The injured officer is in stable condition after surgery.
