Suspect Arrested in Covington Woman's Murder Case

A Covington man has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of a Munford woman. The victim was found dead at a residence in April 2022, and the Medical Examiner's Office ruled her death as a homicide in August 2023. The suspect, who was alone with the victim at the time of her death, claimed it was a possible overdose. After an investigation, detectives presented the case to the Tipton County Grand Jury, leading to the arrest of the suspect. He is currently held on a $250,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on November 13.
