Students foil attempted kidnapping at Maryland bus stop

A man in Maryland has been charged with attempted kidnapping after he allegedly grabbed a middle-school student at a bus stop and tried to drag him into a nearby apartment building. The child broke free and was not harmed. The alleged assailant, Jamaal Germany, appeared briefly in court and was ordered to remain in jail and undergo a psychiatric evaluation. The victim boarded the bus crying but did not say anything to the bus operator until the bus arrived at school.
