"Strongsville Teen Convicted of Murder in Mackenzie Shirilla Case"

A Strongsville teenager, Mackenzie Shirilla, has been sentenced to two life sentences for the July 2022 murders of her boyfriend and another man. Shirilla intentionally caused a high-speed crash that killed her boyfriend and their friend. She was found guilty on 12 counts, including murder and aggravated vehicular homicide. Shirilla will be eligible for parole after 15 years, and her driver's license will be suspended for life. Prosecutors highlighted her lack of remorse and selfish behavior following the crash. The families of the victims expressed their grief and called for a lengthy sentence.
