Standoff Ends in Tragic Shooting: Officer Injured, Suspect Dead

A police officer in Oneonta, Alabama, was shot in the leg during a standoff with a suspect who had been knocking on doors in a residential area. The suspect brandished a gun and shots were exchanged before the suspect was pronounced dead at the scene. The injured officer was airlifted to the hospital and is in stable condition.
