Spate of Violence in Champaign Leaves Multiple Injured and Arrests Made

Two men have been arrested in connection with a fight and stabbing that occurred early Sunday in Champaign. Sergio Sosa allegedly produced a knife and stabbed a male victim, while Junior Molinero was identified as "an aggressor in the fight" and was arrested, pending mob action charges. A 21-year-old Champaign woman sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the arm, and a 21-year-old Champaign man sustained a potentially life-threatening stab wound to the back.
