Spate of Shootings in Birmingham Prompts Police Investigation

Birmingham police responded to a report of shots fired at an event center in west Birmingham. Upon arrival, officers witnessed a man shooting at a group of men and one officer fired shots in response to protect the potential victims. No injuries were reported, and three individuals, including the initial shooter, are currently in custody for questioning. The State Bureau of Investigation is not involved as no injuries occurred, and the police are following protocol for handling an officer-involved shooting.
