Spate of Police Impersonation Attempts Foiled by Off-Duty Officers

An 18-year-old from Macomb Township, Michigan, was caught impersonating a Detroit police officer during a traffic stop with an off-duty Waterford Township police officer. The impersonator, Christan Mansoor, was driving a silver BMW with flashing red and blue lights when he attempted the traffic stop. After being confronted by the off-duty officer, Mansoor drove away and was eventually arrested by deputies after switching license plates from the BMW he was driving to another one that he owned. He was arraigned on a misdemeanor charge of impersonating a public officer and given a $5,000 personal bond.
