Spate of Kidnapping Attempts Ends with Arrests in Montgomery County

A 22-year-old man, Jose Luis Contreras, has been arrested and charged with attempted kidnapping after he tried to abduct an 18-year-old woman at a Target store in East Texas. The incident occurred when Contreras grabbed the victim from behind as she was getting into her car, but she managed to escape. Contreras was apprehended at a restaurant in Conroe and is currently held in the Montgomery County Jail. Authorities have commended the efforts of law enforcement in identifying and apprehending the suspect.
