South Fulton Mayor Arrested on Burglary Charge, City Administrator Terminated

Mayor Khalid Kamau of the City of South Fulton was arrested and charged with first-degree burglary and criminal trespass after venturing onto a private property he believed to be abandoned. Kamau was confronted by the homeowner, who pulled out a gun and detained him until authorities arrived. An ongoing investigation is being conducted, and Kamau is also facing a civil rights lawsuit filed by five city council members alleging violations of the city charter.
