David Berkowitz, the "Son of Sam" serial killer who terrorized New York City in the 1970s, was denied parole for the twelfth time. Berkowitz, now 70, was rejected after a parole board interview on May 14. He was sentenced to 25 years to life for each of the six murders he committed and has been in prison since 1978. Despite expressing remorse and becoming a born-again Christian, Berkowitz remains incarcerated at Shawangunk Correctional Facility.
