"Shootout in Miami-Dade: 2 Officers Injured, Suspect Killed in Confrontation with Squatters"

Two Miami-Dade police officers were shot while responding to a home in southwest Miami-Dade containing squatters. The officers were confronted by an armed man as they approached the front door, resulting in an exchange of gunfire. Both officers are in stable condition, and a suspect was pronounced dead at the scene. The 35-year-old officer has been with the department for seven years, the 57-year-old officer for 15 years, and the 40-year-old officer for 11 months.
