SAPD Chief addresses officers charged with murder in fatal shooting.

Three San Antonio police officers have been charged with murder after fatally shooting a woman inside her apartment. The woman, identified as Melissa Pettis, was having a mental health crisis and was cutting wires through a fire alarm system to the complex when police contacted her. After refusing to leave her apartment, Pettis swung a hammer at the officers, breaking a window. All three officers then opened fire, hitting Pettis at least twice. The officers have been suspended without pay and are facing three separate investigations. Bodycam footage of the incident has been released.
