Ron Jeremy Released to Private Residence in Rape Case Due to Declining Health

Former adult film actor Ron Jeremy, who was declared mentally incompetent to stand trial on multiple rape and sexual assault charges, has been released to a "private residence" due to his declining health. The court granted conditional release at the request of the Public Guardian, despite objections from the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office regarding public safety concerns. Jeremy, who is reportedly "practically bedridden," will receive 24-hour care at the residence. He was indicted in 2020 on 34 counts of sexual assault and has pleaded not guilty.
