A Romulus man, Jacob Thomas Mraulak, has been charged with several offenses, including operating while intoxicated causing death, in connection with a car crash that killed Vivian Carmody, wife of Eastern Market CEO Dan Carmody. The crash occurred when Mraulak, who was intoxicated with narcotics and alcohol, drove onto the sidewalk and struck the couple while they were walking in Detroit.
