Rising Road Rage: Children Becoming Innocent Victims

A 6-year-old girl was shot during a "violent road rage incident" in south Louisville, according to the Louisville Metro Police. The incident began with an altercation between people in a vehicle and a group of three motorcyclists on Interstate 65 North. Shots were fired during the altercation, and the vehicles continued down the highway where another altercation occurred on the off-ramp to University Boulevard. The vehicle was hit several times, and the child inside was also injured. The driver took the child to the hospital, where she is undergoing surgery. All those involved have been detained, and police believe the gunshots were fired from the motorcycles. The incident is being investigated by LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Squad.
