Rising Concerns over School Shootings in Texas

A student was shot in the arm in the parking lot of Thomas Jefferson High School in Dallas on Tuesday, and the shooter is still at large. The incident involved three people, including two students, and there is no evidence it started as a fight. The gun never made its way into the school building, and the district has a suspect. Classes were canceled on Wednesday, and mental health professionals will be available for students when they return on Thursday. Extra police will also be present until further notice.
