Repeat offender charged with brutal murder in Palm Bay.

Justin Giambanco, a 31-year-old repeat offender with 22 felony charges and 24 misdemeanor charges, has been charged with second-degree murder, grand theft of a firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and false imprisonment of an adult in the murder of a 69-year-old Palm Bay resident. The victim was found dead at their home on April 20, and Giambanco was identified as a suspect based on evidence collected at the scene. Giambanco had been released from jail in October 2022 after serving 18 months of a 53-month sentence and was arrested again on April 16 for battering a police officer and trespassing. The police chief stated that the murder could have been prevented if Giambanco had served his full sentence for a previous felony charge.
