Recent Shootings in Florida Leave Women Dead and Injured

Family, friends, and neighbors gathered for a candlelight vigil to remember Ajike Shantrell Owens, a 35-year-old mother of four who was fatally shot in Ocala on Friday night. Owens was shot once in the upper body and died at a local hospital. The investigation into her shooting is ongoing, and no one has been arrested. Neighbors say Owens was shot by a resident after going to her residence to find out what happened when the resident took a tablet belonging to one of Owens' children. Owens' children are staying with family members, and friends and family are calling for justice.
