Recent Shootings in Charlotte Leave Multiple Injured

Two people were shot at Romare Bearden Park in Uptown Charlotte, with witnesses reporting around six gunshots fired. The victims were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The shooting occurred as the Charlotte Knights game ended at nearby Truist Field, and the Charlotte SHOUT! festival was also in Uptown. Witnesses reported a quinceañera photo shoot was happening in the park as shots were fired. Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said there were no active threats to the community.
