Rash of Shootings in North Omaha Leaves Community on Edge

Two juveniles were shot and injured while attempting to steal a car in North Omaha. The homeowners heard the break-in, confronted the suspects, and opened fire. The suspects tried to flee in the stolen vehicle but abandoned it after being hit. One juvenile had a gunshot wound, while the other had non-gunshot related injuries. Both were taken to the hospital and later released. Omaha police have set up a large perimeter and are investigating multiple crime scenes.
