Proud Boy Evades Sentencing by Vanishing on House Arrest

Christopher Worrell, a member of the Proud Boys extremist group, has disappeared days before his sentencing in a U.S. Capitol riot case where prosecutors are seeking more than a decade in prison. Worrell had been on house arrest in Florida since his release from jail in Washington in November 2021. A bench warrant for his arrest has been issued, and authorities are encouraging the public to provide any information about his whereabouts. Worrell was found guilty of spraying pepper spray gel on police officers during the mob storming of the Capitol on January 6, 2021.
