"Pre-med Student's Alleged Matricide Shocks Community"

A Florida pre-med student, described as a "genius" and with no history of drug or alcohol abuse or mental health issues, allegedly stabbed his mother to death, confessing to the crime during a 911 call. The sheriff detailed the chilling attack, revealing that the student arrived at his mother's home, held a knife behind his back, and then brutally stabbed her over 70 times, claiming he knew where to stab her for maximum effect due to his biology classes. The student, who was the valedictorian of his high school class, has been charged with first degree murder.
