Pontiac Man Arrested for Teen Girl's Shooting Death and Gun Charges

A man named Jameel Tanzil has been arrested on gun charges in Pontiac, Michigan, and is suspected of being involved in the shooting death of a 16-year-old girl named Desiree Childs. The shooting occurred on October 28, and at least one other person is believed to be involved but has not yet been charged. Police found cartridge cases at the scene and witnesses reported seeing muzzle flashes from a nearby home. During a search of that home, two guns were found that matched the casings found at the shooting scene. Tanzil, who has a criminal record, denies involvement in the shooting.
