Police SUV Crashes Into St. Louis Bar Amid Controversy

A lawyer representing the owners of an LGBT+ bar in St. Louis alleges that a police SUV, which crashed into the bar, had run a red light moments before the incident. Surveillance video posted on social media shows the police vehicle running a stop light in the Carondelet neighborhood. The crash occurred as the bar was closing, and conflicting stories have emerged regarding the cause of the crash. The officer behind the wheel admitted to being distracted and changing his in-car radio just before the collision, while the bar owner claims the officer tried to avoid a dog in the roadway. No toxicology tests were conducted, and the police cruiser did not have a dashcam.
