Police Standoffs and Shootings Leave Two Dead and One Injured in North Dakota

A man identified as Jamie Mitchel was found dead after barricading himself inside a Lincoln home and making threats against the city and a nearby school. The Lincoln Police Department's SWAT team was called to serve a search warrant, but Mitchel refused to come out. Officers heard a single gunshot inside the home and found Mitchel with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. The death is under investigation by the sheriff's office.
