Police Shootings Halt Deadly Stabbings in Maryland

Four people were injured, three of them hospitalized, in a series of stabbings in Aspen Hill. Police responded to two separate incidents and found victims with stab wounds at multiple locations. Witnesses reported seeing the suspect heading into a wooded area, where he later confronted police officers with a 12-inch butcher knife. The second officer shot and killed the suspect. The four victims, including two women with neck injuries, were taken to the hospital. The stabbings are believed to be unprovoked, and investigations are ongoing. Body camera footage will be released in about 14 days.
