Police search for suspects in fatal hit-and-run incidents across Austin and Chicago.

Austin Police are searching for a heavy-set Hispanic man driving a black GMC Yukon involved in a hit-and-run that killed a 62-year-old bicyclist on the southbound Frontage Road of Interstate 35. The driver pulled out of a private driveway and hit the bicyclist, then left the scene without stopping or calling 911. The incident is being investigated as Austin's 30th fatal crash of 2023. Anyone with information should contact APD's Vehicular Homicide unit or submit tips anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program.
