Police Officer and Hostage Shot in Standoff Situation

A Richland County police officer was shot during a SWAT situation where a 32-year-old man violated a protection order and held a woman at gunpoint, firing at officers as they attempted a rescue. The woman was also shot after escaping the suspect's control, and the man barricaded himself with a second hostage before surrendering after a four-hour standoff.
