Police investigate homicide after man found dead in former Applebee's parking lot.

The Kansas City Police Department is investigating a homicide after a man was found dead in the parking lot of a permanently closed Applebee's restaurant. The victim has been identified as 51-year-old Eric Preston. There is currently no suspect information and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Homicide Unit or the TIPS Hotline. A reward of up to $25,000 is available for information leading to an arrest.
