Police Fatally Shoot Woman Pointing Gun at 3-Year-Old, Saving Child's Life

San Bernardino police shot and killed a woman, identified as Darvet Brown, who was pointing a gun at a 3-year-old child inside an apartment. Responding to a call from the child's grandmother, officers confronted the suspect, who had already fired the gun inside the residence. After the woman pointed the gun at the officers, they kicked open the door and shot her multiple times to protect the child. Brown, who was not related to the child, was pronounced dead at the scene. The motive behind the incident is under investigation. The child was unharmed.
