"Pleasant Hill's Recent Standoffs: Arrests Made and Shelter-in-Place Lifted"

The shelter-in-place has been lifted in Pleasant Hill, California, after Chunliam Saechao, who allegedly shot his wife, was taken into custody. Saechao fired shots at armored police vehicles from his residence, but there were no reported injuries. The Central County SWAT team and crisis negotiators had been attempting to communicate with Saechao to have him surrender. Saechao's wife suffered injuries but has been released from the hospital. Both directions of Monument Boulevard remain closed, but some traffic restrictions have been lifted.
