Playground Vandalism Injures Two Children with Acid Pouring

Two children suffered burn-like injuries after acid was poured onto three slides at a playground in Longmeadow, Massachusetts. The chemical was identified as muriatic acid, which was taken from the basement of the park's pool building after the perpetrators broke in. The playground was fenced off and a hazmat team assessed the scene. The perpetrators are suspected to have suffered acid burns to their hands or arms.
