Phillipsburg Police Officer and Woman Shot, Suspect Dead in Domestic Incident

A domestic incident in Phillipsburg led to a shooting that injured a police officer and a woman. The suspect opened fire on police as soon as they arrived at the scene, and the bullet hit him in the leg. The woman was shot in the torso. Both were airlifted to St. Luke’s Hospital. The suspect is believed to have died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The officer suffered non-life-threatening injuries, and the female victim was conscious and alert while being taken to the hospital.
