Elias Diaz, a man recently arrested for a series of knife attacks on a Philadelphia trail, is believed to be the infamous "Fairmount Park Rapist" responsible for a string of rapes dating back to 2003. Police sources have linked Diaz to the cold case and are awaiting DNA results for confirmation. The suspect, described as a Hispanic man, targeted women while jogging in Fairmount Park, using a knife to assault and rape them. Diaz was apprehended after three recent knife attacks on the Pennypack Trail.
