Paul Flores, Convicted Killer of Kristin Smart, Assaulted in Prison

Paul Flores, who was convicted of the 1996 murder of Cal Poly student Kristin Smart, has been attacked in prison and is currently in serious condition at an outside medical facility. Flores was being housed at Pleasant Valley State Prison in Coalinga when the attack occurred. The extent of his injuries is unknown, and the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation is investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
