Partner of Texas Massacre Suspect Arrested After Capture of Accused Gunman

The partner of the man suspected of fatally shooting five people in Texas last week has been arrested and charged with hindering apprehension or prosecution of a known felon. Francisco Oropesa, the accused gunman, was captured on Tuesday evening after a dayslong manhunt. Fewer than five people beyond Oropesa have been arrested, according to Chief Deputy Tim Kean of the San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office. The victims, all Honduran nationals, have been identified as Wilson Garcia’s wife, Sonia Argentina Guzman, 25, and her son Daniel Enrique Laso-Guzman, 9; Diana Velázquez Alvarado, 21; Julisa Molina Rivera, 31, and José Jonathan Cásarez, 18.
