"Oregon Man Arrested for Threatening Rock Climbers with Gun"

A man from Multnomah County, Oregon, named Samson Zebturiah Garner, has been arrested on charges of planning a mass shooting targeting rock climbers in Deschutes County. Garner was found with three handguns and an AR-15 rifle when he was apprehended by the Deschutes County Sheriff's Office. Although authorities did not disclose the specific location, Smith Rock State Park was considered the most likely target. Garner is facing multiple counts of attempted first-degree murder, attempted assault, and unlawful use of a weapon. Investigators believe he planned to kill multiple people, but as long as he remains in custody, there is no ongoing threat.
