Omaha Police Reveal Officer's Identity and Shooting Details in Recent Incident

A man in Omaha opened fire on K9 Officer Tamara Phillips as she pulled into his driveway following a terroristic threats call. The man, identified as James Wilson, was a food delivery driver who became upset over a low tip amount and pointed a gun at the customers. Phillips, a 5-year veteran, returned fire from inside her cruiser and took cover as Wilson continued shooting. She hit him in the legs, causing him to run out of ammunition and throw his gun under the cruiser. Phillips provided medical care to Wilson and was justified in her use of force, according to the Douglas County attorney. Wilson has been booked into jail on multiple charges.
