Ohio 'Incel' Sentenced to 6 Years for Plot to Kill Women at University

Tres Genco, a self-described "incel," has been sentenced to over six years in prison for plotting to kill women at a university. He expressed hatred and jealousy towards women and idolized a previous mass shooter. Genco had purchased weapons and gear for the attack but was arrested in 2021 before carrying it out. Prosecutors argued that he was fueled by misogynistic hatred, while his attorney claimed that the plan was not significantly close to being carried out and that Genco has since matured and learned from his mistakes.
