Las Cruces Police Department is mourning the death of Officer Jonah Hernandez, who was fatally stabbed while responding to a trespassing call. A witness shot and killed the 29-year-old suspect, who is believed to be the trespasser. Hernandez, a married father of two, was taken to a medical center but succumbed to his injuries.
