Officer shot in Louisville bank attack to be released from hospital

A rookie police officer who was shot in the head while responding to a deadly bank shooting in Louisville is set to be released from the hospital after three months of medical and rehabilitation treatments. Nickolas Wilt, who had graduated from the police academy just 11 days before the incident, ran towards the gunfire without hesitation. The officer had brain surgery and spent a month on a ventilator. A celebration of his return home is scheduled, allowing him to witness the community's love and support. The shooting at Old National Bank left five people dead and others injured.
